Do you use any of these products? Or, maybe your own favourite suggestions to add to the list?
My skincare routine has been stuck in a rut for the past year, so I've given my bathroom shelf an overhaul recently and replaced all my old products with some new discoveries. I did a fair bit of research and thought I'd share my favourite finds here.
Left to right:
1. Avène Cold Cream Lip Balm
This is quite pricey for a drugstore product but I like the creamy texture and the pearly sheen it leaves. Has moderate staying power, I find it needs reapplying every couple of hours.
2. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
A classic that I've only just gotten on board with. It's quite sticky so I use this sparingly just for rough patches. It works well but I might switch it for the cream version when I finish the tube.
3. Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
I love the lightweight feel of this gel-crème formula. It absorbs very quickly and is completely fragrance free, which is important for me as I have sensitive skin. I think it's ideal for summer but I'm currently finding that it's not quite moisturising enough for winter, hence I need the following.
4. Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
I use a few drops of this at night as a facial treatment. A little bit goes a long way and my skin feels really soft in the morning. It's also great for fading scars.
5. Kiehls Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment
At first, I found the consistency of this eye cream really strange. It's like a thick green melt and sits on the skin for a while, which I didn't like initially. But it was expensive enough for me to persist with, and after a couple of weeks I got used to the feeling and found it an addictive product. It's really effective at plumping up the eye area, with a slight dewy glow, and leaves a refreshing feeling.
6. L'Occitane en Provence Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette Roll-on
The floral scent is divine, smells just like a bouquet of roses. Very subtle finishing touch for the wrists.
