I'm having trouble coming up with adequate words to describe the intensity of Zambesi's A/W12 show. I'll let the pure, unadulterated drama in each of these shots speak for themselves. I honestly had so much difficulty in selecting an edit as I felt every single shot deserved a place. The models, the makeup, the mood, the clothes - everything just created utter magic together.

If I had to sum up COOP's latest collection in just one sentence, it would have to be 'the ultimate kaleidoscope of glam 80's punk rock meets baroque'. Neon, jacquard, sequins, florals and art deco print all took center stage in a whirlwind of colour and texture. Definitely a quirky, statement-making collection. I'd have to say the jackets are the absolute stand out point for me - boxy cuts with edgy details = pure perfection.

RUBY's A/W13 collection, titled 'Mr Destiny', was a spirited affair showcasing highly wearable casual pieces accented by playful touches - eye-catching fur stoles, chain clutches and beanies. A few high glamour metallic pieces were also thrown into the mix, such as that dress, the accordian pleated stunner that everyone was talking about after the show. My personal favourite though, was the printed sweater/graphic skirt combo sported by cutie Seon Hwang.

This year marks the first anniversary of Liam, having made their inaugural NZFW debut just last year. This was, once again, among one of my favourite shows as Liam's aesthetics is very much a more mature, simplistic take on their main sister line, Ruby. The luxe, flowy fabrics and the elegantly cut silhouettes are right up my alley. My absolute favourite pieces would have to be the stunning graphic print halter dress and the peacock blue jacquard trousers.

Last night at SGC's A/W13 show, 'Dead End'. The rather offbeat choice of venue (a derelict basement carpark in Grey Lynn) ended up being the perfect backdrop for the brand's signature grungy aesthetic. Fluroscent tubes lined the makeshift runway and provided rather spectacular mood lighting for the show. The collection made good use of mesh, PVC and croc printed leather. The crowd loved every minute of it, as could be surmised by their raucous reception of designers Marc and Dan during the finale walkout.
