Just revamped the blog layout around here. Tell me what you think!

It surprises me that although teal is my favourite color, this tank is the only piece of clothing I have in it. Changing this situation soon.

I've finally managed to claim the domain name I've always wanted after someone gave up domain squatting at last! The new one is at www.FashionDistraction.com instead of the one with a hyphen. Please update your links as I am having some issues with redirecting at the moment. Other connections are broken too such as the Facebook button, LinkWithin etc :(

Celine Rita surpassed everyone's expectations with her first solo collection. Her youthful take on feminine dressing combined a myriad of intricate fabrics, from delicate lace, richly coloured crushed velvet to seductive sheer prints. Everything felt so balanced, and the hair and makeup complimented the clothes to perfection. Fresh-faced with soft side-swept curls, the models looked breathtakingly beautiful as they sashayed down the runway.

The darlings of NZFW, Lonely Hearts showcased a sassy collection with a strong sense of maturity. Loose feminine silhouettes were mixed with edgy leather jackets, and their trademark, gorgeous pieces of lingerie featured also. My favourite piece in this collection has to be the leather biker trench, impeccably modeled by the striking Ella Verberne.

Saved my favourite outfit for the last day.

I was gifted this amazing serpent ring from Regal Rose. So glad it arrived quickly so I was able to wear it all week. Have had so many compliments on it, and more than a few people stop me to take a snap of it. Considering it's only £22.00, definitely a steal!

Trelise Cooper shows are always a total experience, and I was so honoured to be seated front row at this one. I really got to appreciate the detail that went into these colourful and incredibly elaborate garments up close. I was surprised to see the JC Litas make an appearance too, but they worked because there was such a different range of styles going on. All in all, the show was thoroughly entertaining, the soundtrack was good, and I love that Trelise mixed it up with the troop of models showcasing the Boardroom range near the end.

If there was a designer at NZFW with the most distinguishable sense of aesthetics, it is definitely Jimmy D. As the title 'It’s a kind of Magick' alludes, the collection references Wiccan symbology and blends elemental forces of darkness and light, chaos and order, hard steel and delicate silk. I am floored by every little detail, from the cornrow braids, the intricate eye tattoos, the metallic nails, to the exquisite Meadowlark jewellery.

The Viaduct = super windy place. Hope you are all enjoying the NZFW coverage so far! I still have a few more shows I want to share with you guys, namely Lonely Hearts, Celine Rita, Jimmy D and Trelise Cooper.

Not the best photos, but you get the gist. Massive crowd, a-list cast of models, original runway setup (scaffolding), and painfully hip clothes (thankfully, they were kidding with those prom dresses). Basically, everything you would expect from the SGC boys... +1 cutout.

The SGC menswear part of the show which started bang on at 8.15pm caught a lot of people out I think, who weren't expecting anything to begin until well after 8.30pm. I thought it was quite refreshing actually, starting early, keep people on their toes yeah?
