hair post

May 19, 2011

I get a few emails about my hair every so often so I'm finally getting around to doing a quick hair post!

Witchery White Shirt Day Campaign 2011 OCRF

My routine is rather dismally ordinary actually (sorry!). I dye my hair obviously, so I need a colour protecting range to prevent dryness and colour loss. After experimenting heaps, I find salon shampoo and conditioners actually do make a difference from the cheap supermarket stuff. I use the Matrix Biolage Colour Therapie range which does the trick, but is still reasonably priced (especially when you get the giant value sized bottles on promotion). After washing, I just spray in a cheap detangling spray so I can comb it out and let it air dry.

As for styling, I'm sure it's one of those 'want what you don't have' kinda things, but I've always wished for curly and big volume-y hair. Of course, my hair is naturally limp as anything, with an awkward curl outwards at the ends. I couldn't live without my trusty GHD. Most days, I just run it through the ends to flip them inwards but for special occasions I'll use it to make loose curls all over. I'm by no means an expert, I rely on tutorials on youtube!

Anyways, that's pretty much it. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask :)
