Hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they wished for! I managed to get through boxing day without buying anything this year. Needless to say I am rather in awe of myself. Well actually, truth is, I'm waiting for the 29th which will be my other Christmas as that's when the postal service resumes delivery and I have quite the backlog of stuff arriving. Late Christmas presents to myself hehe ;p

to the point

ASOS Tetra & Alesha boots

I was um-ing and ah-ing over these boots for ages trying to pick which ones to get. I asked my boyfriend what he thought and he said I should just buy both. I refused, citing the need to abide by opportunity costs (trying to at least retain some semblance of self-control lol) and continued on my agonising. Anyways, then he just came along suddenly and wrestled the computer from me, and he bought them both for me! Omg. Don't you just love it when a guy takes control? ;)

trick of the light

Thrifted blouse, Loe shorts, F21 heels

These shots are from last summer. I never ended up posting them because I was unhappy with how harsh and noisy they were originally. Decided to play around with some lens flare brushes in photoshop and ended up with this heavy editing which I'm still not too sure about. But I spent so damn long on them that I thought I'd better at least get a post out of it!

5 days till Christmas... and I still haven't got all of everyone's presents let alone started wrapping. Last minute person? Who me?

Cape top c/o Schwing Schwing, Supre shorts, Country Road top, Jeffrey Campbell wedges

I haven't set foot in a Supre store since my high school days. I remember it very differently from it's current... appeal shall we say? Back when it was humble and actually cool. Now everything about it kinda repels me. That said, I do have some surviving pieces though which I dug up for this outfit to enter in a Lookbook x Supre competition... hmmm wonder if that make me a hypocrite?

A few pictures from the weekend, I thought these food shots were just too good not to share. And of course, the outfit:

eye of the tiger

ASOS top, Glassons pants, fur coat c/o Storets, Country Road bag, Jessica Simpson heels

It's difficult being in the opposite season to nearly the entire rest of the blogging world. When I was offered some items to feature from Storets and I saw this exquisite Dalmation pattern coat amongst them, there was no way in hell I was going to pass it up, summer or not. So we had to wait until after sunset to shoot in the hope of avoiding a complete meltdown on my part hahah. It was well worth it, including all those mental stares I got on the street.

public beware

It's no surprise that I spend a lot of my time browsing the internet for new clothes to lust after. Just recently I was lucky to be introduced to Public Beware, a new boutique who have just launched a new website taking their clothing line from their Brick Lane store to the world. I found I absolutely loved their ecclectic mix of trendy and sexy pieces, which are all highly unique yet surprisingly affordable! I spent ages trawling through their site and admiring all the styling. Here are some of my favourite picks along with a little except about how they started:

"Established in London's East End in November of 2002, Public Beware was one of the forerunners of that area's burgeoning street fashion culture. To this day its continued aim is to provide the hippest items to the art-savvy fashion enthusiasts who frequent this part of London. Their unique range of tops, dresses, jackets, and much more inspire an alternative yet sexy approach to fashion that attracts trendsetters alike each season. Started as a T-shirt only brand, Public Beware now has three clothing lines on sale in its own shop on Brick Lane and has acquired a large cult following from around the globe."
