nz fashion week part 1

September 29, 2009

So Jessie and I finally found the perfect excuse to have a proper bloggers meet up, and headed to Fashion Week together. She was friggin awesome company, incredibly sweet and we just have so much in common! As for the fashion week experience itself, I must admit I was a little disappointed. Not a hell of a lot was going on really, and the layout of the tents were too haphazard to be at all impressive. It should have been amazing, seeing as it was held at the Viaduct of all places. Hmmm, yeah well they could have made it a whole lot better is all I'm saying. But then again, I guess my expectations could have been a tad too high for our little NZ...?

back to basics

Sometimes there is nothing more liberating than just a simple LBD. Although whether this one actually qualifies as a dress is debatable. The boyfriend assures me that it most definitely is indeed. Which is fine.

...except that, umm on the subject matter of hemlines, his judgement can be rather questionable at times... hahah.

I wanna say a big thank you to a few people too. Firstly to Leah for the really sweet post she dedicated to me recently, and also to ever wonderful Anika who presented me the exotic Golden Heart award! Thank you so much, I love you guys!

out of time

Horrendously behind on everything here. I realise I have one week left of my holiday before my nightmare week crammed full of tests and assignments begins. Haven't yet mastered time travel so instead I will have to knuckle down to some serious work. And the only way that's going to happen is if my laptop gets taken away and locked up somewhere.

I'll be having a jumbo catchup session when I get back, including sorting out the email backlog. Big hi to Jessie too, who I'm glad is back to blogging again!

in excess

(Saturday night hijinks...)

I'm pretty darn sure Balmainia will never die down, at least not with me anyway. I waited quite a while for the perfect alternative version to the infamous crystal embellished sandals to come out, and these Steve Madden ones were it. One hot mess of leather, studs, and jewels. And the heel. Ridiculous heights has always been top of my checklist for shoes.

Materialistic ramblings aside, I'm so excited to have been asked to work on an upcoming project with a certain very talented and creative individual. Don't mean to sound horribly cryptic, but unfortunately that's all I can say for now! Things are still in the early planning stages, but I will definitely update when I can.
